The Syrian Arab Republic acceded to the PCT on 26/06/2003 making it the 120th contracting state. Because it is bound by Chapter II of the PCT it may also be elected. 05/05/2004 UPDATE: On 26/03/2004 it was announced that the Syrian Arab Republic will join the Madrid Protocol, however, the instrument of accession has not yet been deposited. The Protocol will come into force three months after the date of deposit. |
